IHRDC completes successful Management Program series in Boston

Boston, October 2001: IHRDC completed six of its world renowned Energy Management Training Programs in Boston in 2001. Each of these trademark IHRDC programs, by combining lectures by respected industry specialists with IHRDC’s classic business simulation workshops, enabled participants to “learn from the experts” and then apply their learning to challenging, real-world situations. During the (11?) consecutive years that these internationally focused programs have been organized, more than 1400 managers from 30 countries have participated. The 2001 schedule was as follows:

  • The 1st annual International Petroleum Business Management Program was offered from April 23 – May 4, and again from September 10 – September 23. This program provided a comprehensive, integrated understanding of the upstream sector of today's international oil and gas business.

  • The Upstream Oil and Gas Asset Management Program took place from May 14 – May 25. This program focused on the practical and realistic integration of upstream technology, best operating practices, economics, contracting, risk assessment and markets in achieving the most profitable return from an asset over its life.

  • The 8th annual International Gas Business Management Certificate Program was offered from June 4 – June 15, and again from October 1 – October 12. This program provided an outstanding overview of the upstream and downstream sectors of the rapidly changing international gas industry.

  • The 11th annual International Petroleum Management Certificate Program was offered from September 10 – October 5. IHRDC's flagship program supplies participants with an intensive and comprehensive presentation of the key business aspects of the major upstream and downstream functional areas of the oil and gas industry, and the management skills needed to remain competitive in today’s industry. Participants have consistently called this program, “the BEST management program in the petroleum industry today!” This year was no exception with a large turnout of participants attending the program.
