Boston, October, 1999: IHRDC completed five of its world renowned Energy Management Training Programs in Boston in 1999. These classic IHRDC programs consisted of a careful balance of lectures by highly experienced specialists and unique business simulation workshops that allow the participants to apply the knowledge they have learned in challenging and realistic settings. During the eight consecutive years that these internationally focused programs have been organized, more than 900 managers from 50 countries have participated. The 1999 schedule was as follows:

Abu Dhabi, UAE October 1999: IHRDC executed an agreement with ADMA-OPCO to design training materials and train UAE nationals as part of a program to produce competent field operations and maintenance specialists. The purpose of this two-year program is to develop local nationals to replace expatriate personnel working for ADMA-OPCO. IHRDC, with the support of ADMA-OPCO personnel, developed competency-based job-related materials for the production process and the three maintenance disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation). All training is conducted at the DAS Island Vocational Training Center. In addition, IHRDC has successfully implemented Specific Gap Elimination Programs to enhance skills of existing personnel, as part of the ADMA-OPCO / TOTAL Individual Development Plan (IDP) Campaign.
