IHRDC Completes Five Energy Management Programs in Boston for 1999

Boston, October, 1999: IHRDC completed five of its world renowned Energy Management Training Programs in Boston in 1999. These “classic” IHRDC programs consisted of a careful balance of lectures by highly experienced specialists and unique business simulation workshops that allow the participants to apply the knowledge they have learned in challenging and realistic settings. During the eight consecutive years that these internationally focused programs have been organized, more than 900 managers from 50 countries have participated. The 1999 schedule was as follows:

The third annual International Petroleum Exploration and Development Business Management Program was offered from April 26 – May 7 and provided a comprehensive, integrated understanding of the upstream sector of today's international oil and gas business.

The International Energy Business Development Program took place from May 17 – May 28. This program focused on the essentials of integrated energy project development including project selection, feasibility analysis, project design, construction and operation.

The sixth annual International Gas Business Management Certificate Program was offered from June 7 – 18 and provided an outstanding overview of the upstream and downstream sectors of the rapidly changing international gas industry.

The second annual International Power Business Program took place from June 21 – 25. Participants gained an understanding of the technical, economic, business, legal, financial and operational factors that are shaping the dynamic changes in the international power business today.

The ninth annual International Petroleum Management Certificate Program was offered from September 13 – October 8. IHRDC's flagship program supplies participants with an intensive and comprehensive presentation of the key business aspects of the major upstream and downstream functional areas of the oil and gas industry, and the management skills needed to remain competitive in today’s industry. Participants have consistently called this program, “the BEST management program in the petroleum industry today!”

IHRDC Signs Two-year On-Site Training and Development Agreement with ADMA-OPCO

Abu Dhabi, UAE October 1999: IHRDC executed an agreement with ADMA-OPCO to design training materials and train UAE nationals as part of a program to produce competent field operations and maintenance specialists. The purpose of this two-year program is to develop local nationals to replace expatriate personnel working for ADMA-OPCO. IHRDC, with the support of ADMA-OPCO personnel, developed competency-based job-related materials for the production process and the three maintenance disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation). All training is conducted at the DAS Island Vocational Training Center. In addition, IHRDC has successfully implemented Specific Gap Elimination Programs to enhance skills of existing personnel, as part of the ADMA-OPCO / TOTAL Individual Development Plan (IDP) Campaign.
