Access and Licensing

  • Licensed users may access IPIMS from anywhere in the world through the Internet or an organization's intranet.
  • IPIMS, is SCORM-certified, and can be integrated seamlessly into your Learning Management System (LMS).
  • IPIMS is licensed on either an annual User-based license or a Course-based arrangement.

Option 1: IPIMS Registered User License

The IPIMS Registered User License provides access to all IPIMS content and resources on an individual-user basis. Registered users may utilize the system without limitation throughout the license year. Payment is made on a licensed user basis with a minimum annual commitment of 30 users with the right to increase users as needed. Licensees receive access to:

  • IPIMS Background Knowledge - the extensive online 'encyclopedia' of E&P technology with its Quick Search feature
  • 750 IPIMS E&P e-Learning Courses with Assessments
  • 54 Action Learning Modules
  • Learning by Job Area - navigate by job area through all IPIMS Content
  • IHRDC-developed Competency Models that have been integrated with IPIMS Background Learning and Action Learning forming professional development plans
  • Powerful suite of Administrative Tools
  • Participation in Annual IPIMS User Meetings
  • Assistance as-needed from IPIMS Technical Support Team

The annual license fee is based on the number of registered users who are granted access to the system during the license year and the commitment term of the license.

Option 2: IPIMS Course License

This license provides "on demand" access to all IPIMS SCORM 1.2 certified Courses and Action Learning Modules on a company-wide basis. Any and all employees may take courses that are typically accessed from a corporate learning management system (LMS). Payment is made on a Course or Module usage basis with a minimum annual commitment. This license includes access to:

  • 750 SCORM 1.2 Certified IPIMS E&P e-Learning Courses with Assessments
  • 54 Action Learning Modules
  • Learning Plan Builder which allows for the building of customized learning plans for individuals and groups
  • Powerful Administrative Tools including Reporting and Recording System;
  • Participation in IPIMS User Meetings
  • Assistance as-needed from IPIMS Technical Support Team

  • Easy to choose either single course or multiple courses

Each Licensee pays a Minimum Annual Usage Fee (US$) under this option that is credited against individual usage of Courses and Modules. The Unit Cost for an individual Course or Module is dependent upon a Licensee's annual commitment level and is reduced as cumulative costs increase to the next license level within a license year.
