Inside Sales Position – Boston
- Will research and develop sales leads at potential clients in the oil and gas industry through internet research, email and telephone contacts.
- Will serve as day-today internal support to Regional Manager (s) to achieve and exceed sales goals. This may include proposal development, product demonstration as well as client support.
- Will enter detailed information and maintain up to date data using Salesforce.com. Will provide regular Salesforce.com reporting.
- Potential exists for limited travel in support of customer visits and trade shows
Required Experience & Skills:
- 2 to 5 years in inside sales and market research
- Experienced and comfortable in making cold calls
- Proven internet research skills
- Background in service business environment is expected
- Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool
- Bachelor’s degree expected
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills. Other language skills a plus
- A clear commitment to the client and to achieving results
- Familiarity or experience with the international petroleum industry a significant plus

Marketing Communications Manager
The Marketing Communications Manager will report to the Vice President of Marketing. The individual will be responsible for marketing communications activities including collateral development and production, coordination and implementation of the marketing plan, and vendor interaction. The individual will also be responsible for creating copy that supports and enhances the company’s marketing strategy, reflects the brand, and can be used in a wide range of media.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate and implement the corporate marketing plan.
- Write copy and edit for a variety of products, media, and purposes. These would include: print collateral, website content, video scripts, social media content (blogs), HTML emails, catalog content, product literature, event material, and press releases.
- Develop material for business-to-business sales model.
- Create and distribute rollout communications for program updates, product enhancements, direct marketing programs and sales tools.
- Carefully monitor and analyze campaign results and ROI on campaigns.
- Assist in financial activities including budgeting and reporting.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Directly transferable experience in all aspects of Marketing Communications including development and production of high quality brochures and product literature.
- Strength in delivering compelling business to business communications including mailings website content, video scripts and email campaigns.
- Experience interacting with business units to determine and proactively address their needs.
- Extremely strong and proven writing abilities, strong analytical skills and experience in measuring results.
- A four year college degree and well developed computer skills, coupled with a high level of energy, attention to detail and a cooperative and outgoing personal style.

Project Manager – Workforce & Competency Management

We are growing rapidly and we are seeking skilled Project Managers to facilitate the implementation of Competency Management System programs and projects around the world. This activity will involve on-site project management and coordination with the client as well as working closely with IHRDC’s Subject Matter Experts. The positions are based in Houston, Texas, and the Project Managers will travel extensively to a variety of international locations for varying periods of time.
Candidates must bring:
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- Several years of successful project management experience
- Overall 5 to 12 years work experience
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively internationally
- Transferable experience coordinating the implementation of software at client sites
- Technical undergraduate degree at a minimum

Director Instructional Programs – Oil & Gas Industry Training
The Director of Instructional Programs for this internationally recognized petroleum industry training organization will report to the Vice President of Instructional Programs and will interact on a regular basis with the President, Vice Presidents, and other instructors. Primary responsibility will be to maintain and expand the development, marketing and teaching of management training programs and business workshops directed to the international oil and gas industry. Additional responsibilities will include course content development and support of the international marketing of those programs. Job location is at the company’s Boston headquarters.
Specific Responsibilities:
- As the Lead Instructor will teach management level courses and related business simulation workshops both at the company headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts and at major international locations.
- Will be responsible for updating existing course content and workshops and for designing new courses.
- Will identify and recruit additional full-time and third party course instructors.
- Will market the programs and support the sales team in its efforts to market the programs worldwide.
Requirements for the Position:
The candidate will have a solid and successful background in the international oil and gas industry including experience in both functional and commercial areas. This would ideally include early technical responsibilities, followed by work experience on the commercial side of the industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience teaching either in a formal environment or at least some meaningful presentation or instructional experience is required.
Specific Requirements and Expectations
- Breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in various sectors of the international oil and gas industry. Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of technical, project development and business aspects of the petroleum industry. This will include the ability to read financial statements, prepare financial models to analyze investment opportunities and exposure to project management, financing and regulatory compliance.
- Broad technical and business experience and an inquisitive mind that will support the ability to update and improve existing course content.
- A high energy level and the desire and enthusiasm to expand and grow an already successful instructional programs group. A personable style that will enable success in the hiring and coaching of new permanent and part-time instructors and achieving lasting, positive relationships with program participants.
- An outgoing personality and sufficient teaching or training experience to present management and executive knowhow effectively to a diverse audience.
- A creative and visionary orientation that will support the ability to see new opportunities both in terms of clients and instructional programs.
- The ability to provide support to a business development group that has established a strong reputation for its business management programs.
- Educational background will include a technical undergraduate degree, coupled ideally with an MBA.
- The ability and willingness to travel internationally and be sensitive to cultural diversity.

Upstream Petroleum Technical Training Specialist
IHRDC seeks an oil and gas technical specialist in its Boston office to assist in the design, development and teaching of our proprietary, fully-digital workshops devoted to the E&P Project Development Process. The Training Specialist will work with a small team of engineers and computer programmers to capture the upstream project development workflows, incorporate them into simulated game settings and then serve as an instructor and mentor in delivering these workshops to our international oil and gas clients. Responsibilities may also include teaching blended training programs in petroleum technology, supporting our competency management services and developing new content for our e-Learning offerings.
Candidates must have 7 or more years of technical experience in upstream oil and gas industry. Breadth of experience in exploration and production is expected. Proven and strong computer skills and teaching/presentation abilities are required, as is an advanced degree in petroleum engineering or geosciences.
